What is happening in Reading, PA Schools?
A new Sex Ed program and health center inside of Reading High School was proposed by AccessMatters in May 2017, and would be facilitated by Planned Parenthood Keystone. A Planned Parenthood counselor would operate inside of Reading High School, giving Planned Parenthood direct access to their target clientele (i.e. young, vulnerable students). Counselors would refer to Planned Parenthood’s local Reading clinic, where these students could access contraception and other services.
On August 23, Students for Life of America, along with several local organizations, concerned families, and students, will present the following petition letting the Reading, PA School Board know that we DO NOT support Planned Parenthood in our schools.
If we’re able to present them a stack of signed petitions a mile high, it will show them just how serious we are about preventing Planned Parenthood from infiltrating our schools.

Petition to: Reading, PA School Board members
We, the undersigned, implore the Reading School Board members to vote NO on the AccessMatters’ proposal allowing a Planned Parenthood curriculum and counselor into any Reading area school.
We value safe and responsible health centers in our schools, but any center run by Planned Parenthood does not meet those standards. Based on the points below, we know that Planned Parenthood is bad for our community and especially detrimental to our students:
1) Planned Parenthood’s disturbing Sex Ed curriculum: Planned Parenthood counselors at other locations were caught teaching young girls how to experiment with dangerous sexual behaviors such as torture, bondage, and asphyxiation.
2) Planned Parenthood has a bad track record of failing to report rape and sexual abuse.
3) Planned Parenthood Keystone’s Allentown location has already proven to be dangerous for our community. This facility failed its inspection three years in a row (2013-2015) for numerous reasons including disposing aborted babies down sinks, using equipment with dried blood on it, and not evaluating patients prior to giving them anesthesia.
Planned Parenthood employees, including one from Keystone itself, have been caught discussing the harvesting and selling of aborted baby body parts.
